Dead and Alive

My chosen ones, put to death whatever belongs to your earthly nature (Colossians 3:5 a, ESV). However, do not be deceived, for I do not ask you to dig emotional pits of misery for yourself out of a misguided loyalty to Me. Come, live your life with a childlike faith and with yourself as dead to sin, remembering to LIVE the resurrection life brought by my son, Jesus. Keep short accounts with me about ‘you’ and refocus quickly back to me and my joy. I love you and am not a slavish father with harsh demands. 

Activation: Ask Father God if this ‘dead to sin’ yet ‘alive in Christ’ understanding needs to be adjusted in your life.
