These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.
Darkness is all around in the world; the evil one is at work and you do not have to look very far to see this. But do not come under this cloud of despair and depression like those of the world do. For then your light will not shine. (Ephesians 5:8)
In Jesus Christ there is no darkness; in Him there is no despair or depression. Let Him be the avenue through which you walk; cutting through the clouds that surround the world. In Christ you will have peace. In Him you will have joy. In Him you will have light. Others will see your light and your joy and you will become a beacon of hope and of rescue to those who are lost and perishing.
Psalm 46:2-5
Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change and though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea; though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains quake at its swelling pride.
